Sydney

We touched down early this morning after a 14h flight from LAX. The spring-like weather greeted us with much sunshine and temperatures in the mid 20s Celsius. We checked into our hotel around 9 and started our tour of Sydney by foot. What a beautiful city with all the bays, ships, modern buildings glistening in the wide skies of down-under.

2morrow we fly out to Cairns and start our 4 week drive along the east coast of the continent with a camper.

Hey Kids! Did it feel a little weird to set foot onto U.S. soil again? I hope you are enjoying your trip as much as we are! :)

Kennedy got her cast off yesterday. I think she is happy, but it may take a few days before she is strong enough to walk on it, so it is difficult to tell.

Carter is pulling himself up on all of the furniture and starting to climb the stairs. I'm taking bets as to whether or not he'll walk by Christmas ...

Darren's mom is doing well. Her radiation treatments are a little draining, but she is feeling good otherwise. Only one more week to go!

I'm sure you heard by now that our camping event was fun, but WET! So much for the theory that the Gallaghers were to blame for the rain!!

We have a little damage to our house from the recent storms that plagued the Metro. Mostly hail damage to our roof and siding. Not a huge deal, just a pain in the butt.

Take care and travel safe. You are in our prayers.

Carrie

good to hear that all is well. hehehe... we always knew that it wasn't us with the rain and camping :) Wow, it's amazing to think that Carter is almost walking already. Keep those expensive Vases away from the edges... and of course we are happy for Kennedy that she doesn't have to wear that cast anymore. I bet she will be her usual self within a matter of days. Say hello to Verna from us and you are all in our prayers as well.
